white smoke rebuild engine.

hello guys 1987 searay 350 5.7, just have the engine rebuild and upgrade to a edelbrock marine carburetor, edlbrock marine intake, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, put in the water today, and noticed white smoke coming out of exhaust, even after I flush the engine with the muff notice a lot of white smoke coming out of exhaust ?, temperature is 165, rpm 750, any advice thanks.

Do you have thru hull exhaust? Some steam is normal after a wot run.. whats the temp outside? Has the water pumb been replaced lately? Is there a big temp difference between your port and starboard risers?

Ayuh,..... Smoke, or Steam,..??

A brand new motor, needs to be broken in, before jumpin' to conculsions,....

hello guys I don't have thru hull exhaust, yes water pump on engine is new and the one in the outdrive is new, bondo is steam.

Ayuh,..... Steam is a normal function of throwin' water into a very hot exhaust stream,.....

Relative himidity determines whether you can See the steam or not,...

My waGuess is, there ain't no problem,....

If ya wanta investagate further, pull the spark plugs,...
If any are Brand New Clean, maybe that cylinder is seein' water,...
