White chalky crap on sides of my 85 150 blakck max xr2?

Hi all just bought this 85 373v metalflack red silver color, nice shape but how do I clean this white chalky crud off the lower sides of my motor looks horrible, thank! It's dry when I scrape it!

Visit a marine store.-----Ask about cleaners for outdrives.------As water evaporates from the exhaust housing the minerals stay behind and build up.-----

I used toilet bowl cleaner on mine to get it off. Worked for me.

Any hot running drive / lower will do that. Bravo 3's are famous for it. Just calcium deposits.
Any calcium (hard water) spot remover will work as long as it's not too acidic and won't harm the paint. Heck, even vinegar will remove hard water stains.

Vinegar often works well for removing mineral stains, be sure you get "cleaning" vinegar", or numerous mineral stain cleaners on the market.
Give it a good wax job when done cleaning it.
