Hi there,

I recently bought a RIB with a Mariner engine. I would like to find out which engine and year it is. After finding that out, I will try to find a manual, to do maintenance myself as much as possible.

This is the information I have:
  • Mariner 75hp 3 cylinder 2-stroke
  • Oil injection
  • Electric start
  • Serial number: 9556982

Year should be somewhere late eighties, according to seller.
Does anyone know which year and which type this is? Any information about good manuals is more than welcome too.

I added some pictures below, as said, any information is welcome, thanks!

It is a1989 and OEM manuals are by far the best.

Thanks for the quick response! :)
I'll start off with the Seloc manual (my wife ordered it as a suprise :D), if necessary, I will purchase a OEM Manual.

I have that exact year and model of motor. I have the Seloc manual as well - not as good as I had hoped unfortunately. Havent had much luck finding an OEM manual. Motor has been great, but my last trip of the year she let me down big time. Not sure what is wrong. When priming the fuel bulb, the bottom carb is spitting out fuel - bad valve maybe? Anyway, good luck with the motor.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but there's no valves there. More likely a dirty carb, very common. Probably a stuck inlet needle. Simply order three carb kits and clean them. Reallt easy to do.
