Which year is my Volvo Penta from?

Hi!

I need help finding out which year my engine was produced.

There is a decal on the engine block that reads:
AQ115/100
5591/128994

I assume this meens it's a 115hp engine with a VP 100 Stearndrive.

I know the engine is based on a Volvo Penta B20.
I can also read some other numbers on the engine block, but only partly.
It is ??229? I believe.

Is it possible to identify my engine?

[colour=blue]1973 - 75, maybe Don can nail down a more accurate date from the serial#.

2 litre (121Ci), pushrod engine straight out of a car (well, almost). It IS a B20.

Yes it is 115hp and yes it is a 100(A or B) outdrive.
