Which wire for the tach light?

I have a Yamaha 85hp outboard and I hooked up a Yamaha multi function tach that works great but I need to know which wire is for the internal Light. I would like to hook it up to my Nav light switch.

Someone told me I was sol because the multi function tach would'nt work with the 85 but they were wrong, so if your just guessing about which wire please don't.

Any 12v power source will work. Normally you use the 12v power that comes from your ignition so the light turns on when the key is in the run position.

I get the 12v thing. Why would you want the light on all the time? I need to know what wire from the tach? What color? It doesn't tell you in the instructions.

Blue wire to light switch and black to ground.
