Which wheeled Trailer jack, 8" single or 6" double wheel?

I need to replace the jack on an old (85') vintage boat trailer. The trailer is largely used ( stored and pulled by hand) on asphalt but occasionally gets pushed into packed dirt/gravel. I want an upgraded wheel that will roll easier than a standard single 6" rubber wheel that is there now. Does anyone here have experience with double wheel jacks as compared to 8" single wheel? Thoughts on compassions and specific recommendations welcomed. p.s The boat is a 15' Aluminum Grumman with a 15 hp that comes in at only 650 # or so.

The single wheel ones are easier to turn the wheel with your foot in gravel, But the double wheel gets you more area to not sink in soft ground. I myself always used the single wheel.

I can picture the issue with positioning the double wheel now that you say that. The smaller wheel could be a PITB. I've had a 8" single wheel in the past and thought it a great improvement over the 6" single ( on pavement anyway). I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something on the double. ( A double 8" would be nice but that would be overkill I guess.) I'm retired and ageing. Being able to easily move the boat to/from my car is the difference of the boat getting used or not. Thanks much for your insight.
