ob motors are my bag but the son purchased a 97 seadoo xp/787,locked up w/trailer for 200,purchased a maunal thats now off the coast of africa, and i'm pull'in it apart.If block mikes out ok, rebuild this one or buy a rebuilt through sbt. Son knows alot bout these pigs, I just do the grunt work and enjoy the shady tree. Thanks

If you have the book and a timing wheel for the rotary valve do it yourself ,they have a counter balance shaft that is timed also, not a lot to a 2 stroke as you know. The pto removal is usually lots of fun,, lol you will need a tool for the pto splines and I made a special tool that goes in where the starter mounts with a welded bendex gear to lock the flywheel while you unscrew the pto from the crank shaft I posted a pic on pwc weekly couldn't get it on here.

Thanks for your input, and as I see it YOU the man on these pigs and have enjoyed reading your replys to other posts. Son removed the eng prior to his cruise w/navy and I'm the one stuck w/drilling out the ss bolts he sheared off. Am using the drill press w/less headache, but still a pain.May not need the lock for the flywheel, as its locked up tight. Have top and bottom open and crank won't budge. I can get it out but if there's a better way w/o screwing things up or breaking the pistons...always open to a better way. Thanks again...........
