which prop would work for me

What is the max rpm range for a 1998 C115hp 2 stroke.I am running a 19 pitch prop but at wot my rpm is up to 6000 and speed is 45 mph.I know I need more pitch ,would a 21 pitch bring me down to the correct rpm range,is the max rpm 5000 or 5500.Does any know how much does rpm decrease by each inch of pitch.Thanks Chris

Those engines perform best at a max RPM close to 6000. The limiter is at 6050 and you may be running into it. A 21 should drop you about 400 rpm's.

Would a 21 also give me more speed,Ray and do you think I should go with the 21

The 21 may well give more speed. Just remember that all props are not made the same by different manufactors. What brand and type of prop are you running now?

Thanks for helping Ray,I am now running aYamaha prop 13 3/4 x 19,I was going to get a yamaha 13 3/4 x 21.Do you think this willput me in a good rpm range with maybe a good top end speed. Thanks Chris
