Which pin does what?

Ive recently aquired an old Johnson 50 (50173s, 1971?) that I'm looking to bring back to life. Trouble is I don't have any remotes and It'll be a while till I track some down at a reasonable price - and I don't even know if the motor works yet.
Does anyone have a diagram of the electrical connection from the main loom to the remotes (10 pin, 3 big, 7 small), detailing which pin is which. I'm just looking to hot wire it for now until I can get it running.

Thanks guys, It'll save me an evening or two with the multimeter.

If you do not have the big plug hooked up, you have already accomplished the hot wiring. It will start with the plug disconnected from the remote control. Just remember that you will have to choke it to kill it. Hook up the battery and manually jump out the starter. Should fire...

Well, I don't know about it firing that easily, its been in some guys shed for the last 10 years, so I'm not too hopefull of it starting straight away.
Be nice if I could hook up a kill switch for it though - just to be on the safe side.
I've had a look at the wiring, and figured out the gearshift ones, so hopefully it will shift into neutral one it starts turning over (its a hydro lecy box). The Clymer manual does't have a wiring diagram of my exact model, but I'll figure it out, anyone know if the seloc manual is any better in this department?

Thanks

If you get serious about that engine get the OMC shop manual specific to your engine. They don't come any better.
