i have a volvo penta 250a / sp

i have a seloc manual that is borrowed and was wondering witch 1 to buy.

they boat store manuals are shrink rapped and they wont let me look at it before i pay the 50$.

the seloc looks old and no info on such items as water circulating pumps.

The OEM manual is going to be the best. All the aftermarket manuals do is lump a bunch of years together and list parts of a lot of different manuals. But nothing complete or specific.
BUT!!!!! Trust me, the older Volvo manuals are not the "How To" manuals like Merc, and OMC and Volvo since 94 are. It give only basic information and specs for Volvos factory trained techs.
IF you are looking for info on how to make your automotive circ pump work in place of the marine version, you aren't going to find anything in any manual.

The part number for the OEM Volvo manual is 7732007 and is about 20 bucks from a Volvo dealer.

I have a Seloc and it is not very good. Would not recommend it.
