OK, after asking a few questions on this <br />site, about a boat & motor, I PASSED on a Parker with a Johnson OB 225, NO LOSS<br />Question <br />Which is the best motor to buy ?<br />I plan to go offshore, Dive, spearfish<br />I'm looking for reliabilty, to get back in not for speed<br />At the Houston boat show, someone there mention <br />Merc's will get you out there faster<br />Johnson's will get you out there cheaper<br />Yamaha's will get you back (plus Honda's)<br /><br />any comments <br /><br />Thanks<br />

No question in my mind..Yamaha.<br /><br />And I dont own one right now. But I have and I love them.<br /><br />And I like the Commercial series.

chippawa,<br />a good engine is a RUNNING engine. ask anyone and everyone and they will give you a different opinion. Either you choose to be like one of them or be yourself.<br /><br />Learn as much as you can before buying. But what they say might be true - so listen.<br /><br />in case you're wondering, yes i own a yammy, hehehehe.<br /><br />Aghh......decisions, decisions, isn't it great! Good Luck!!!!

Thanks<br />After posting this one , at work the next AM<br />a lot of the guys started to talk about which engines were the best<br />after a long heated debate<br />1-Honda<br />1-Yamaha<br />2-Merc<br />3-Johnson<br />in that order<br /><br />ME ? I voted for Honda<br />any comments ??<br />When I buy a boat, next month<br />I will buy one with 4 stroke<br />Honda or Yamaha<br /><br />
