Any recommendations for a 25ft cuddy? I am going to get my first boat soon and would like to keep it close to my house which is in Great Falls VA. I don't want to have to go all the way out to the Bay. I like the idea of DC unless there is a big advantage to being in the Woodbridge area. I am guessing it is about a 40 minute cruise between the two areas.

I dont want to be in a dump or a high dollar yacht club so any help will be appreciated!

Anyone? I like the DC idea a lot but is there enough room? too expensive? How long to cruise to Occoquan?

Well i think you get a tax break if you have your boat stored in Prince William county. Not sure about others. I keep my boat at Quantico (dry storage) and launch from their ramp for free. I haven't been to any marinas in DC but the marinas look pretty nice on the occoquan.

My parents lived in McLean (a stones throw from Great Falls) during the 80's. They kept our boat for a while at Pohick (don't ask for details, I don't remember) and for a while at Columbia Island marina near the George Mason Bridge. Small but a GREAT location except for the noise from National (Reagan) Airport. I think my favorite 4th of July was in our boat on the Potomac. Beautiful cruising but I never skied in either area - water seems to polluted up there.
