I tried some Attwood 1.98" from Walmart and they are just a hair too big. Do I need Buddy Bearing Bra 17B or 19B? I can't see a model number on my BBs.

thanks

I had same problem with Attwood buddys.... they were a micron to big... I ended up installing a new axle as the original axle on rig I bought had worn out spindles,, replaced the 2500lb axle with a 3500 lb axle.. the new 3500 lb axle came with grease zerks.. if you have to use BB's,, get the original "Bearing Buddie" brand.. The Attwood 1.98 product is to big and dont flex enough to pound in.. those were my finding with them

The 17B measure to 1.88in. If there is a large gap go with the 17's, otherwise the 19's should give a more snug fit.

Thanks for the info guys. The problem is the caps go on the outside which for my bearings is bigger. They taper in for the part that goes into the hub. I could remove one, measure and then figure out what model it is.

Well 19b was too big and 17b was too small. I guess I don't have buddy bearings. They look like BBs as they have the same c clip. They are around 1.92" across.

thanks

Could be Trailer Buddy brand by UFP. They look very similar. That's what I have and have never found anything other than OEM installed that will fit. Had tha same problem as you. I contacted UFP and they gave me two part numbers - 32509 and 05387 (single and double respectively, I think). Haven't been able to find anybody with any for sale though. If you have any luck, let us know.

Put a five cent electrical zip tie around the outside. If they still don't compress to the hub, cut one or two slits in them.
