I have an old (1966)restored MFG 16' Westfield with a 60 Hp I/O. Last year, to winterize it, I put the "earmuffs" on the outdrive with a short hose and a funnel. A buddy poured a nontoxic antifreeze thru the funnel for about 2 gallons worth, then I shut off the gas, let the engine stall, and left her for the winter. Everything was fine in the spring, but I noticed some gelling of the antifreeze around the water pump impeller. The impeller is at the top of the outdrive. Is there a nontoxic antifreeze that will not react with the alumiumin components in the engine? What do you think of this winterizing process?<br />THX, Mike
