which 30 horse to buy?

I am buying a Princecraft 162BT and equiping it with a 30 horse. I owned a Honda 25 horse for 5 years and loved it! Now, nobody seems to want to carry Honda - they say Honda is old technology and the reps are arrogant. Princecraft is owned by Mercury, so my best deal is with a Mercury, not to mention the Mercury 30 is electronic fuel injected. How bout Suzuki, Yamaha?<br /><br />Thanks in advance for any feedback.<br /><br />Mike

Ahoy, Mike.<br /><br />If you want a 4 stroke 30, the Merc is the only one with EFI.<br /><br />I would need no other info.<br /><br />Good luck.

mike. dont know about 30's but i have a 98 Suzuki 4 stroke and love it, you can bearly hear this thing run, and will run forever on 3gal gas.

I've had a 94 Yammy 30 for about a year now. It a lot of patience and searching to find it. It's 3 cyl so it's pretty smooth and it has run flawles for the last year. I use it nearly everyday in the summer and it's never missed a beat. I purchased a 2003 boat and put that motor on it. I put it on a similar boat but have not tried it on the water yet. We'll see how it performs. I could not afford a new motor and boat and I could not justify getting a new motor when mine has been so good.<br />Where abouts are you from? <br />Dman
