Where's the PRIMER?

I have a 1997 Yamaha 150hp Saltwater series outboard, it won't start. Does it have a primer? I can't find one.

what are you calling a primer?
Usually there is a primer bulb on the line to the motor, but that is not on the motor itself

Sorry I forgot the word bulb. Just bought the boat & motor, 1997 Yamaha 150 hp Saltwater Series, and I have looked everywhere
and can not find a primer bulb anywhere. Cant get in contact with previous owner to ask him, thought maybe someone on here might know, if it does have one and where it might be located.. Thanks!

Depends on who rigged it up on the boat and how they did it.
Have heard of some putting a electric pump in instead of manual bulb.

But thn you would have to watch out for leaks spraying fuel all over the place and catching on fire.

Trace line from tank to motor to see what you have
