I need a few parts for my outboard boat motor and was hoping that someone could tell me where I could get these parts at?

The motor is a 45 HP Chrysler. Type 45HP, Model 457HD, Serial Number 1960 (I think the motor is a 1972 model).

I am in need of the following items:
1) An ignition contact point.
2) Fuel pump rebuild kit.
3) Rubber thermostat gasket as shown in the picture attached.

Any help, such as part numbers or where to purchase the items, would be greatly appreciated.

The parts you have listed, except the thermostat gasket, should be available here on iboats, ebay etc. I like to use Franz at Franzmarine@aol.com. I know he has the thermostat gasket, but it isn't cheap. If you do a google search for chrysler outboard parts you should come up with several options. Good luck!

Re: Where to Purchase Parts for My Old Chrysler Motor.

Morning,

Another good source for old Chrysler parts is Fairwindsmarina.com. I've got an old 76' 60hp and they had all of the parts I needed. My list was extensive and I didn't have to go anywhere else.

Good luck,

Jon
