Where to get a factory manual?

I have a Seloc manual, but everyone tell's me to get a factory manual. Where's the best place to get one?

It depends on your engine and year. ebay and kencook both carry the service manuals but I don't think Ken Cook has any newer than 1996.

Check with the manufacturer online to find the part #. There are a few good sellers on ebay that if they don't have it, can usually find it for you.

In advanced search on ebay, look for sellers by item. searayman13 is a great seller. I contacted him and although he didn't have my manual, he referred me to a contact in upstate NY who located it. Very helpful.

Oh, and be careful of the CD versions on ebay. A lot of them are scanned versions of the Clymer and Seloc manuals. They're not searchable, and you'd have to print them out

Or go to the Mercury website, www.mercurymarine.com and put your engine serial number in and order direct from them.
