Where to Find Kohler 5E Generator Motor Mount / Fuel Pump bracket

This bracket is welded on, Kohler apparently has never had a replacement for it.

I’m looking for a suggestion as far as where I can get one as mine is essentially rusted out in between where it was parallel to the generator pan.

I haven’t been able to find any pictures or places selling one so far. There’s a kohler part that shows engine mount bracket but no pictures or diagrams of it.

I would have one fabricated but I would need to know what it looks like underneath in order to do that. Dimensions and pictures would help greatly

I would mount it somewhere else . All you have are two wires and a fuel line , not hard to extend any of those items to a new mounting location.

I have a 5e sitting in my shed, but it’s buried under a LOT of other gear.
I was able to snap this picture.
I know it’s not exactly what you need but maybe you can use the measuring tape and scale it.

that mount should be welded to the case on the alternator itself.

for that to be rusted, you most likely also have alternator issues. I would pull the genny to work on it.

It’s a different bracket on yours, mine is welded to the generator and that is where the engine mounts screw to.

Generator is pulled already, really the worst worst was that bracket being disintegrated and the drip pan as well. The rest of the boat was in solid condition. The engine hardly had any rust. These pans are known for rusting. I have had 6/7 Boats with them. Only one purely freshwater boat had minimal rust on it, the rest of them needed complete drip pan replacements.

Check eBay - lots of 5E units from "runs perfectly" to "parts only" to be found there.
