Re: Where to buy Honda Carbs

Thanks for the reply. What's * Loudawg*? and where's LD Marine?
I'm on the Mass/Rhode Island line.
I *MAY* need new carbs. Giving it one last try. LONG story, but they were stored for 3 years filled with Salt water. Thats only half the problem....the salt pitted away the interior near some of the threads.
I've got it cleaned and just about everything removed and replaced accept the EPA valve adjustment screw. (It goes by many names) Its the brass one thats meant to break away if someone like me (non dealer) touches it. But I found a dealer in RI just yesterday that claims he knows exactly how to remove it no problem. He thinks Im right and thats got to be the problem.

I'll let you guys know how I make out. I think I'm going to be recomending this guy highly! Just talking to him he really knows his stuff about Honda's.

Sometimes refered to as Pilot screws. I think it adjusts the air mixture.

Ok here you go the scerw is called the air fuel mixture for the adjust ment at only low speed idle, also to remove the plastic cover on those screws you heat the little plastic part frist very little though, not to damage the rest of the parts in the carb when you heat it use a propane touch or smaller device than when you get it hot not too hot take some needle nose pillers and pull off the little plastic part and you will now see the brass screw than turn it out if you break it take a small drill bit and drill litttle three little holes in line with each other than make a slot for a regular screw driver you can now try to work it out. also the adjust ment is 2 1/8 turn out than turn in when you run the motor. if you need new carbs call me at 310-259-6243 oh and loudawg is a old nickname being the fact my name is louie and LD's marine is my business I have going in long beach ca
