Where to buy Fuel Pump for 1998 9.9 4stroke?

I need a new fuel pump for my 1998 4-stroke 9.9HP Evinrude. My mechanic was told they are on nationwide back order though his sources. Aslo heard the rebuild kit is often unsuccesful, especially over the long haul. Any ideas where I can find a fuel pump? Is there a non-Evinrude (ie Suzuki) part that will do the job?

is the part number 435352,what state are you in there are dealer that have that pump & whats the model number...........
