Re: Where to buy connection rod piston Force 90HP
Welcome to iboats Berndie.
When I hear people looking for connecting rods, right away my suspicions are aroused. Why do you need a connecting rod? Most repairable conditions on these engines do not involve the connecting rod.
The connecting rod is the outside race of a bearing with the crankpin being the inside race and sixteen rollers in between.
If the big end of the rod is corroded or spalled or otherwise worn or if the rollers are worn or damaged, there is a good chance that the crank pin is also in poor condition. If that is the case, it is not wise to replace the rod.
So before you go investing money for a connecting rod, double check the engine and crankshaft condition.
