As Don says, what drive and year?
If its a Alpha1 gen2, then its on the front edge of the lower outdrive unit, about 7 inches up from the bottom of the outdrive. Mine was full of mud when I bought the boat and looked like a small nick caused from hitting something. as I cleaned the mud out I found it was the pitot hole!!

00 Alpha One. I think I see it Thrasher based on your description. If I blow on it there to make sure it's clear, should I hear air escaping in the outdrive or should it be sealed since the Speedo line is connected?

Just clean it out with a wire, don't use compressed air or you could damage something else.

PS: A 2000 outdrive is an Alpha I Gen II drive.

How does it connect from the Outdrive to the Helm? I know it's a tube, but does the tube connect near the engine to the outdrive or does it connect to the engine block and pass through?

There should be a small white connector on the outdrive about 6 inches above the pitot hole. You will then see a rubber tube that dissapears through the transom (inside the gimbal) and the tube goes all the way to the speedo on the dash board. Do NOT use compressed air to clean the pitot tube without first disconnecting the speedo or you will destroy the speedo!!

The connection between the rubber tube and the outdrive is usually white in colour and requires you to turn it 90 degrees to disconnect..

Perfect thanks, that was the issue, the tube wasn't connected to the outdrive.
