Lordy, time to get a factory manual, before you break down off shore, and are helpless.

Wow, you guys are great help (nottt!) I was searching for the same topic and ran across this post. Instead of insulting, why not just try to answer without sarcasm !?

Eddie follow the fuel hose from the tank to the water separator, than on to the next item that would be the fuel pump.

We can't help people if they don't give us information to answer with Eddie.
350 Mercs in the 2002 era could have the pump in several different places.
And following the lines may be almost impossible on some models.
If you really need help finding where your's is located, start a NEW thread, don't just pull up some antique post of someone elses, and ask your question, give what type engine it is, year of the engine (NOT just the boat, they may be different) and even a Merc serial number and I would bet a bunch of people could tell you exactly where it's at.

I agree eddie it goes on heaps in this forum. it gets to the stage where you don,t want to ask questions because you get feedback from people which make you feel like your a complete idiot. rather than try to help. fair enough give the model of the engine etc but some people are at work and don,t have that info infront of them so they ask a few questions and hopefully get some ideas to try when they get home or whatever. just some guidence is all most people are after..
