The only thing for sure I know of Bite-wise, is the Crappie fishing in a few of the western Kansas impoundments, one in particular that are supplying 100 fish days for a couple in a boat.<br />Fish running 12-16 inches on a fairly consistant basis. Lakes in this region Rarely freeze up till mid Jan. as far as gettin' on the ice.<br />Sutherland Canal below Ogallala Ne. usually produces some real nice rainbows (8-15lbs.) this time of year, but I haven't heard from the "regulars" that normally brag when it gets good.
