yes, most water comes out the center of the prop. there is no tell tale on that year outboard, just exhuast relief holes below the hood on the rear of the leg. it will spit a little water but not much
You dont have a "tell tale", I believe they came out in 78, but someone may correct me on the year. Your water will exit via exhaust outlet at the prop like you said
