Where is Model Number Stamped on 6hp Johnson

Trying to figure out year I have. Is there any stamping on motor that can help? Do not see it in any obvious places. thanks

There should be a tag with the serial number that also includes the model number. On my 4 the model number was missing. I found the model number stamped on one of the water plugs on the engine block.

the ID tag is usually riveted on to the left side of the transom clamp, but if that doesn't work for an ID on the welch plug on the engine block.

Number on plug is j2525171. Any idea on how to decode? thanks
