When regular contributors disappear it brings some concern up within me, has anybody heard from GM280 as of late?

MT, I've been laid-up off and on since Nov. so haven't been as regular as in the past but have been following along. Now that you bring it up I haven't seen a post from GM280 in quite a while. We used to PM each other quite frequently so yes I hope he's well.

I am concerned Bonz, I know that life happens, but he was a regular contributor, so I would like to know if he is okay....

Funny I was thinking about asking if anyone had heard or talked to him as well. Hope he and his family are all okay.

Hello all. Sorry I have not made any new comments or updates in some time. I am alive and okay but have not commented on most any boating issues in a while. Why? A few reasons. Between life and such situations going on and not much work effort on my Tom Boy boat, I slowly ignored my usual daily reviews. I have lost a little enthusiasm on the boat project because of a multitude of issues. My dad had a long hospital stay and then a rehab center stay as well. And with the present heat and the different project around the house, I slowly stopped reading and commenting here on iboats. I have some pictures of additional work on the boat, but am at a stopped point until I can flip the boat over now to do the finish painting work. And that seems to be my stopping point. The boat has taken on a lot of weight and it can't easily be flipped without some clever set up that I haven't finalized yet. But I will post some more pictures in a day or so.

I personally do appreciate the concern, and apologies for not commenting because for the most part, I stopped reading the multitude of projects I was following. I promise to get caught up soon. You all have a great day and watch for new updates.

Hey, gm, welcome back. Understand the "Life happens" bit. We all go through different stages and there is a time to cut back on some things and press ahead on others. Keep your priorities where they need to be bro, and stop in anytime. We are all in your corner and will do our best to give you the "pick-me-up" you might need. Prayers for a continued recovery for Dad, and some relief from the heat.

Good to hear from you. Sorry to hear about your dad's hospital stay. We will keep him in our prayers as well.

I know summertime brings extra work for me being a heating and air guy, so little to no boat work usually gets done at my house either this time of year. If I were closer I would offer to come help you get your boat flipped.

It's funny I've never thought about the distance between some of us. I talk to people here on the forums who are within a couple of hours of me, and others who are on the other side of the world. Yet I feel like you are all close. Seing each other through our posts is kind of a nice break from my everyday. Like others have shown when someone doesn't post for a while we get concerned I guess.

I hope you have a better rest of the summer, and I for one look forward to more progress on your build thread.:encouragement:
