Where do you go for FireFox help? Printing issue.

The Mrs. tried to print a portion of an email from her Live.com email and it would not print. She highlighted the text, chose 'print selection' and nothing happened. Yesterday she did it twice in a row and two documents showed up in the print queue but with error noted.

She then pasted the text to a Word Document and it printed.

This morning I called Brother. They had me go to her Live.com email in Internet Explorer. I highlighted the text, in the email, chose 'print selection' and away it printed.

The Brother Technician surmised that we had some kind of FireFox issue and that there could be some kind of setting therein that she was not able to help us with.

Where would one go to solve this issue. As the printer will print in various other circumstances, it is apparent that FireFox is the issue.

Have you tried going to the Firefox website and working though their various forums on trouble shooting issues? Which version of Firefox?

Have not looked at the firefox website. It is version 3.6.16.

what is the error? Check the sub-menu under file....page setup, printer settings. I have the same version of FF and zero problems printing.

Well, there's your problem. Firefox. Blow that roach motel off your hardrive and install IE. All will be well.

LoL congrats on being the very first IE supporter I personally have ever seen...Now I can scratch that off my list...Next up is santa claus, followed by a sasquatch...

Security is the bottom line for me and for that reason alone I chose FF over IE. It is also the browser of choice for linux.

I have always used firefox...a couple tweaks and its blazing fast...I used netscape back in the day which I believe turned into firefox...

Well, it seems without further information, your statement is not far off the mark. A name brand printer prints without a problem in IE but will not in FF.

I haven't had the opportunity to check out other options that have been suggested but I will do so before I give up. Suffice it to say, this is not the first printer I have had issues with using FF.

You might want to try upgrading to Firefox 4. FF 3.6.x versions have had issues, and I personally kept getting FF crashes at work when using v.3.6.x. No problems so far since I upgraded to 4 a couple weeks ago.
