Living in Montana in the woods, every single summer, we have the deep red moons and sun, every year we get fires, thought I was going to have to evacuate more than once or twice over the years.

Well here we go, first forest fire that we can smell smoke from and its 300+ KM away in lyton bc.

BTW I heard the smoke you seen Wimusky was from a fire in northern Saskatchewan.

That's what they were saying RBH. Amazing how far smoke can travel once it hits the jet stream....

We had an orange sun here early in the morning and a haze the rest of the day. I remember a few years ago when there was a fire in the boundary waters it was so bad it was like someone was grilling outside every window.

Later in the day I took this photo on Winnebago....the haze is from the wildfire.

I was on Lake Vermilion during that fire. It was pretty crazy. It looked like the town of Tower was on fire... Wasn't too much fun smelling smoke all day...

I was at work unfortunately, but I remember thinking that a near by building had to be on fire or something....even had some fine ash on the car........and I am much further SW so I can only imagine what it was like up there
