Re: Where can I order my Speedie Sleeves from???
Well you could always try it and see what happens. I stop shy of recommending it, if nothing for the fact that 1. its a gamble, and 2. for the price of the speedis (or having a machine shop rework the end for about $75 or whatever) it could be done 'the right way'. And if it doesnt work, you are doing it all over again. For the price of a tank of gas, you could do it the right way and not have to think about it again for a long time.
Either way, you will still need the seals, front cover gasket set, antifreeze, and probably oil as the timing chain and crankcase oil will be open and exposed while doing this. You will need to be carefull while removing the front cover, as the oil pan gasket seals the bottom of it, so you will need some sealant if you want to salvage that part of the gasket. If you go to the breezeworks site and do some reading on that forum there are many threads with pictures that various people have posted while doing this repair, if you want to see what you are up against. If you are fairly comfortable mechanically, its a one afternoon job.
I used aftermarket items to do this, amarket sells a kit with both seals (double lipped) along with the gasket set for pretty cheap. I dont know if iBoats has something similar, I havent had to look.
