Where can I get weedless wire?

Does anyone know where I can pick up some wire for making weedless jigs? I picked up a mold to make up some tube jig hooks and I was trying to find either a weedless version of the Eagle Claw 570 jig hook (which I don't believe they make.) or some wire I can add to the hooks. Does anybody know where I can get some wire that would work for that?<br /><br />Thanks!<br />Mike

Do you know anyone that plays a guitar?<br /><br />The bottom two strings (I believe notes B & E) work very well as weed guards as they are stiff enough to hold shape but can also bend away under the pressure of a strike. String material comes in all kinds of properties but stainless steel works best. One string will go a long way. I aquired a bunch from a friend that will probably last me a lifetime.<br /><br />Most folks would be happy to give their used strings to someone that could make further use of them when changing to new strings. You may also be able to visit a local music store and ask them to put a few aside for you as they change them for customers.<br /><br />Do Not use the top three strings as they are wound to rigid and do not work well.

Cabelas sells fiber nylon? ones, item HS-31-1907<br />and the molds to mold them into your jig heads.
