Last week while trailering my boat, one of my trailer hubs starts smoking really bad. I pull over and it still smokes. It seemed to me that the brake was stuck in the "on" position.

Where can I get my brakes serviced? Do I have to go to a boat shop or can I just go to an auto brake shop?

TIA

Look in the yellow pages under trailers. A brake specialist is the place to go.

found my problem. i took my hubs off and noticed that one of the bearings was WASTED!
while i'm going to replace the bearings on both hubs, i might as well replace the brakes.
i have disk brakes. will i need to get "special" ones too or can i use the auto ones?

Hello
if you have disc brakes make sure the grease you use is the high tempreture made for disc applications. most of the disc brake set ups I run accross are simple to service. Good luck and keep it cool :) :)
