Guys is it right i can find out the age of my engine off the serial number

If yes where can i find that number?

Also prop numbers what they mean?

sorry not too good with the tecnical terms lol

Want to find out the age of my merc 1500 150hp 2 stroke outboard and my fletcher gto 17 foot speed boat

also a bit confused with the whole proppeller pitch, size things if you could clear things up please.
