where can i find parts for older model jhonson motors i have a 1968 65hs. jhonson and am having problem finding parts for this motor i know it will run had it running last year i think i need an amplifier for it and have not been abel to locate one as of yet if some one could tell me where i can find an after market equvilant to it that would be helpful also <br />

Howdy DeldertF.<br /><br />Have you tried:<br /><br />A Johnson dealer?<br />NAPA Auto Parts?<br /><br />www.twincityoutboards.com?<br /><br />Do not try to troubleshoot your engine by replacing parts. You will go broke fast.<br /><br />Buy a manual and find out what part really needs replacing. You will save big bux.<br /><br />Good luck.

dont have jhonson dealer ship here and as old as this motor is most of the shops around here tell me call back in a few days and we will let you know if we can get the part

NAPA auto parts lists an amplifier.<br /> Their number 18-5747.It fits 68 65hp and<br /> 68 85hp and 68/69 55hp.At least you know those used units should fit your motor as well.<br />Have you tried ebay?

thanks for the help so far guys I hope that I can find one cheaper than $300
