I have a removable clamp-on seat base that I use on one of my jon boats. It looks similar to one pictured here.
The problem I have is that the thing slips off the bench or slides around too much. But on one of my boats I have some brackets screwed to the bench that hold it in place. They look like this...
Does anybody know where I can get some more of these... I've looked everywhere! Thanks.

It looks to me like you could make your own without to much trouble. Take some plastic pipe and cut it length wise, drill a couple of holes and you have it. There isn't much pressure on those so plastic should work. On mine I just mounted the swivel to the boat and did away with the sliding mounts.

Why don't you just cut a couple pieces of angle iron 4 or 5 inches long and screw them to the bench. It should hold well with some #12 sheet metal screws. Most angle iron from the hardware store will have predrilled holes and that should make things a little easier for you. You could even round the edges off a little with a file so you wouldn't snag your shin if you had the seat off.

Rather than iron, most home stores also have aluminum angle. It won't rust and is far easier to cut and drill than steel.

Keep is simple.
Most hardware stores will sell something like this:

Called a tarp and rope hook.
Find them on the racks by the eye-bolts in most stores.
Put one or two of these on each side of the seat and you are set.

You happen to still have the sliders?
