Hello.
I'm expecting delivery of a 1997 Evinrude Ocean Pro 150 soon, but I'll need to buy an ignition switch, and the wiring harness back to the engine. Is there a place online that I can purchase these? New or used.
Thanks.

the dealer should have them, go to brp-evinrude.com literature, engine diagrams, accessories. should find part number. then go to online stores. iboats, maxrules, ishopmarine, ebay. if it is the big red pulg harness, they are no longer made, according to my supplier, i've bought several off ebay.

Thanks, I was dabbling in that site the other day, but didn't find it. I'll look again.
What is the difference in the model number for an Evinrude, starting with BE vs just E? Does the "B", indicate that it was made after the buyout of OMC by Bombardiar?

EDIT: It's got something to do with Belgium...not important, mine isn't a "B".

B means it was built in Belgium, it's the same motor, just Belgium plant.
