Frustrating huh? Here's a couple I "invented" before I knew there was one:

Integral infant car seats. Chrysler came out with these a year after I drew one on a napkin. Came to me on an Airplane when watching people lug them around.

Continuously Variable Transmission. I even called it a CVT, and drew up a belt design with inverted cones. Much like they are actually made.

When I was a bit younger (1950s) my dad was not happy that his beer was getting warm while sitting outside in the summer. He found thin strips of styrofoam and wrapped them around his beer bottle and secured it with tape. Wish he would have patented that one. There were others, but I won't mention them here because they cuase me great pain.

I rigged a cup holder to place my drink in front of a HVAC outlet in my car in 1980.

I also devised a few mods to chainsaw engines for Kart racing.

ya see those mops that ya squeeze a lever and the cleaner comes out? ....as opposed to the old school bucket? why didnt i jump 5 years before they hit the market!!
