When was it made?

I'm trying to find the model year of a 150 hp evinrude vro v6 outboard. The boat was purchased used and....well anyways. I've read in other posts that model year can be found using the serial number or other manuf. number usually found somewhere on the engine. My question is...<br /><br /> Where on the engine are these numbers found.. I've cleaned as much grease off as I can but do not see any obvious numbers. My best guess on the year of the boat is around 88-90 but I would like to be certain..<br /><br /> Thanks alot for your help.

The numbers you are looking for are located on the front of the mounting bracket, over top of the steering cable housing. There should be a plate there...Good luck.
