When to add grease to 'Bearing buddies' ?

Bearing buddies have blue ring that pops out when filled with grease. As I use the trailer those blue rings sink in but not evenly ... something like a 45 degree angle ... could it mean the seal are broken from overfilling ??

Should I be adding grease then ? or wait until they are completely sinked in ?
