The family and I were enjoying a quiet day at the local State Park lake yesterday. Nice hot day and loads of new season boaters. The Park Patrol were wandering around most of the day doing safety (and booze) checks. The main ramp was super busy with loads and unloads. We just happened to be cruising through the ramps no wake zone when we heard this go-fast boat taking a shot at getting on the trailer. Lots of super loud engine noises, yelling and water spouts. After a couple of dismal attempts the dude backed up for another shot. All the commotion got the attention of the Park Patrol and they were cruising up behind him. I guess he decided to try the theory that if you trim up, the bow will be higher and therefore easier to drive further on the trailer. He promptly let 'er rip. A wall of water shot up behind the boat and landed almost perfectly onto and into the patrol boat. He did succeed on getting it up on the trailer though. The Park Patrol fired up the siren. :D His blond, bikini clad accomplice was standing by the trailer screaming and yelling at him to shut the thing off..........but no, he wasn't done yet. He goosed it again. This time the patrol was about a foot off his port transom......they didn't get wet, this time, but the racket must have deafening It only a matter of seconds before the siren registered and the miserable specimen killed the motor. The two officers climbed out of their bathtub onto the dock. They were absolutely drenched. They indicated in a manner consistent with ticked off cops for this dude to get the h*** out of his boat. As soon as his feet hit the planks the entire ramp area was laughing their collective a**** off.:D:D .......then the boat horns started. To make matters better, or worse, the dude took a bow!! I have no idea if the Dept. of Homeland Security have whisked him off to mental help facility, or not. He certainly made my day.:D:D

I bet he wasn't taking a bow when they started running out of ink from writing tickets.

Ticket for what? Ain't no law against 'stupidity while loading a boat' is there? Most of us would be in jail if there was:D.

If he was putting that much throttle on it I would think a 'no wake' violation would be in the mix.
