When did Mercury start offering EFI for the 4.3 Mercruiser?

My dad has a 1993 Mariah Shabah with the 4.3 LX and I'm trying to figure out if it might have EFI. I don't have access to the boat right now otherwise I would figure it out pretty quickly.

Ayuh,.... I believe you'll find the '93, 4.3LX has the Merc/ Weber/ Carter AFB carb,....

They started to introduce them in '96, but there are lots of years after that may still have carbs. '93 is absolutely carb or aftermarket EFI (rare)
