They are just asking for a lawsuit there, you can see it now. "well the commercial they had on tv didnt have anyone wearing one so i thought the motor was built so you didnt need one." LOL

Out of ALL the people shown I saw TWO PFDs.

Check boat brochures and web sites and you will see it happens all the time.

I don't like yamaha

not many choices left in the market, as far as I know mercury is still using the yamaha motor for most of its 4 strokes. They were supposed to phase out yamaha motors, but at least as of 2008/2009, the 65's were still yamaha.

Anyway, this isn't a yamaha thing or even exclusive to the boating industry. Watch the tv for awhile. You see people in car ads doing things 'on a closed course race track', you see people eating things that would probably kill them in short order, and all kinds of other things that are either questionable or illegal.

Marketing in no way portrays actual usage, been that way forever and will always be.

Speaking of lawsuits and injury, my brother was one of the editors for ATV sport magazine and gets to test all the new products from vendors. So he's on a photo shoot for the new Rhino when it first came out (little did Yamaha know it was a roll hazard at low speeds, which I believe was a recall) and rolled it. He is still in physical therapy and Yamaha has pretty much been supporting him and his family for over two years now.

Things that happen on TV aren't true either, Santa Claus doesn't exist, the Easter Bunny can't lay eggs, and those sitcom parents living in 10000 sq/ft homes with one working parent are a fantasy.

Be careful out there.

Shocking I know, I am also investigating the "house hippo" phenomena to determine once and for all if they actually exist or not. I'll keep everyone updated as my exhaustive government funded research progresses.

Here is a link to a collegues documentary video on hippotology.

In a similar vein I should mention we have a new recycling initiative here in Canada spearheaded by the government, get your white box soon.

...and of course the new clean air act should be mentioned as well.

Gotta love Rick Mercer. He should be our President!:D
