My cobweds tell me I have heard a short blip on this. Something to do with the way they do accounting and distribution.
Guess I'll check back in on this and maybe learn a little also.

I'm not saying that you are wrong, but before I believe that I shure would like to see some proof or credible evidence. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if something is posted as fact, I would like to see it, or tell me where I can confirm those numbers.

Hmmmm. I wonder where the money came from for all of the relief work they (Red Cross) have been doing in the tsunami area for the last year.

About the CBC, I don't know, but I suspect both claims are mean spirited creative accounting.

I DO NOT contribute, anymore, to large org's like the Red Cross, United Way, etc.

I contribute to smaller org's that disclose their dispersals and are far more accountable.

I'm kind of like you on this one DJ
I used to always give everything to the GoodWill because they used to (and might still) train the handicapped and hire older people who might not be able to get a job somewhere else.

Got my bubble busted in the early 80's
Found out the guy in charge of the Tacoma Store (a dump) had a salary over $100,000 a year!

I'm not saying the guy might not be earning it. But I'd rather give to places where there is not so much overhead.

I'll check this post later to see if anyone answers to the orginal question to the red cross problem.

my .02

I have not donated any money to the Red Cross since grammer school, over 100,000 miles ago. I have NEVER donated to the United Way, due to them giving money to some anti-establishment, left wing organization's in San Franwako.

My favorite charity is the Salvation Army, to whom I give the most, year round. I also donate to the DAV, (Disabled American Veteran's), Crippled Children and Disabled Vet's, thru My Elk's lodge and the NRA. I also donate to the Boy Scout's and Girl Scout's, during their fund drive's and to Right Wing politicians.

...Bob in Calif... Still stuck on the leftist coast.
