Was at the lake this weekend, got to close to shore heard the motor sucking up sand and small rock, shut it off then tried to restart sounded frozen, got towed back. Educate me on where the sand went and how much it might cost to remove it? Did I hurt my baby?:(

Probably not. Just pull your intake grate off. Rinse it out and turn the shaft backwards a bit. Keep rinsing forward and back into the pump. Also flush from your engine flush attachment in case sand got in the pickup Chances are you just got a rock wedged in there. If you take it into the dealer they'll sell you a new prop and want to remove the pump for an inspection = $400 on the cheap side. If you've got some nicks in the prop just get a small file and work them out.

Probably just a rock in the pump. Easier to pull out. Look up under neither through intake grate.
