I just can't get it seated on the flange. It gets close, but won't seat all the way. I don't want to put the adhesive on till I'm sure it will seat. Does the adhesive act as a lubricant?

If you line up the bellows on the bell housing, then press the bell housing hard into the bellows it will compress only so far and then go pop as it seats. Bellows adhesive helps a bit. Mainly just getting it lined up and pushing hard.

I use a heat gun to warm up the bellows before applying the adhesive and they go right on the bell housing.

Ok, got the top half to pop in and I think I can coax the bottom. I'll put adhesive on it tomorrow and go for broke. Third bellows I've done on this boat and everyone has fought me.

Turns out brute force is the secret. Got it mostly back together today. Just have to mount the lower unit and adjust the new shift cable. Can't wait to hit the water!
