I have an extreme fear of heights. Visited South of the Border and, of course, had to go up to the sombrero deck. Whoa...you would have thought I was Spider Man as I was as flat up against the wall as I could possibly get. Go to the fenced rim?? Two words: NO WAY!

But I did don a parachute and jump out of a plane at 10K feet...go figure! Amazing ride, but I'm not going to press my luck to ever do it again:cool:

Know what you mean about heights. Once I passed the point in life where I needed bifocals my ability to work high started to diminish. Even putting new shingles on my barn roof made me very leary next to the edges. However I was still flying aerobatics in an open cockpit Starduster at that time. Something different between flying inverted and being close to the roof edge.

Went to DisneyWorld with the family. Everyone wanted to get on "Thunder Mountain". I saw the train - it looked like some kids' ride. I thought it just chugged around the park for a bit, like to take pictures from and such.

So, I got on it with them, and got out the video camera. The wife says, "You better put that away". I say, "Wut?"

Then the train goes up a 45 degree incline. She says. "It's a roller coaster, put the camera away and hang on." I say, "Wut?"

Yep, I was the only idiot at Disney World that didn't know Thunder Mountain was a roller coaster.

Not only did I reveal to the step-kids that their step-dad was a wus, I (probably a bigger deal) revealed that I didn't know a dang thing about Disney.
