What's the greenish creamy fluid in the carburetor intake?

I see this greenish but creamy greenish liquid in the carburetor intake at the choke plate. The fluid looks like a mixture of fuel and water, but, why here at the intake?
I drained the gas tank into a jar and there's no water separating out. I wouldn't call the fuel cloudy.
Any ideas?

I'd say your diagnosis is correct. Emuslified fuel and water. The water condensed from the atmosphere. As the fuel/air goes through the venturi, it is chilled. Same reason the freon is chilled as it goes through the expansion valve of your air conditioner. If it is chilled below the dew point, water condenses out, same reason water drips from your A/C.

It is harmless and normal, not to be worried about. Unless you are flying in an old carbureted airplane and the carburetor heater is not working. In that case it may ice up and you may crash.
