Need to run new fuel lines on 23 ft walk around with outboards. Whats the difference in the TYPE A-B on fuel line?

Type A – Used in enclosed area, out of sunlight; under flooring, engine rooms, inboard motors. Black.

Type B – UV protected. Use in areas exposed to sunlight; open boats, outboard motors. Gray.

Thank you. Is it then safe to use type B in areas below deck? I had some extra and was going to use below deck.

Re: whats the difference between A and B fuel hose.

Type A1 – higher pressure rating - approved to hold fuel in it at all times…like from your tank to the engine. Can be used in any location.

Type A2 – lower pressure rating - approved to occasionally holding fuel in it…like fill lines and vent lines. Can be used ONLY for these applications in any location.

Type B – lower grade than A. Only to be used externally , NOT below decks, NOT in confined spaces, NOT in engine rooms, NOT for inboard engines, etc.

Note: Type B hose also comes in 1 and 2 ratings.

Type C – I forget what it’s for (hydraulic?)…

Sorry, helios2002, you are going to have to get some new Type A hose.
