What's my 8 hp worth?

I'm looking to (locally) sell my 2004 Honda 8 hp outboard. It's has a 20" shaft, electric controls, and power ***/trim. It's in excellent condition with low hours. What would be a common asking price be? Thanks, iceman

Hard to say. It depends a lot on the area you live in. If you have a Craigs List there, try searching for your outboard. Since it's so new, you may not find one. You could also call your local dealer who sells Hondas and ask them what they would ask for one. Some dealers will sell your outboard on consignment, but not all. That might be a good route, even though you'd pay them a fee for selling it.

On an outboard that recent, it's worth spending the time to get a realistic price quote from someone.
